The Beacon Lantern was inspired by two iconic models that preceded it. The body shape and protective casing are based on a traditional fisherman's lantern called an "onion lamp". These lanterns served as the main sources of light for fishermen. They helped crews stay on course even in the most turbulent elements.
Another source of inspiration is the traditional coal miner's lamp. Anchored in underground mining tunnels, these lanterns served as guardians for miners as they worked in dark and dangerous environments. Our carabiner is a nod to the efficiency and versatility of this historic lantern.
We took the classic components of the onion and coal miner's lamp and added modern features, a safer design, and a high-quality 220 lumen output. The included rechargeable battery provides up to 200 hours of light, and the 30-inch charging cord makes plugging in the beacon quick and easy.
The Beacon Lantern is made from just three materials: stamped steel, plastic, and rubber. Durable in nature, they can withstand years of use. The stamped steel protects the interior lighting cover while keeping the design lightweight and practical.
Light enough to hang creatively from a tree branch or create a soft, glowing atmosphere with several lamps placed together.
The Barebones Beacon lamp comes with a smooth dimming function, allowing you to fully illuminate your surroundings or simply create an intimate ambiance.
This portable lamp can be easily hung using its carabiner or rests on its solid base.
The Beacon comes with a 9-inch USB cord that attaches directly to the lamp (hides under the shade) and an additional 35-inch cord (extension) for its rechargeable battery, which lasts for over 200 hours on low or three hours on high. With a convenient, powerful battery life indicator, you'll never be left in the dark. Bright, blue LED lights let you know how much charge is left.

A: If you have the brightness on maximum it will last about 3 hours, if you have the lantern set to its lowest intensity it will last over 200 hours.
Q: How often should I charge my beacon to prevent the battery from draining?
A: You should recharge your lantern battery once every 3-4 months to help maintain battery longevity.
Q: Can I store the Beacon Lantern outside for long periods of time?
A: The Beacon Lantern is not intended to be stored outdoors for extended periods of time. Prolonged exposure to humid conditions can cause rust and unnecessary wear. We recommend storing your lantern indoors after use to help it last as long as possible and to avoid having to purchase a replacement lantern.
