Design and luxury
Kris Van Puyvelde and Frank Boschman met at university while studying engineering in Antwerp, Belgium. Years later, in 1992, they met again, each wanting to start their own company. They wanted to start importing outdoor furniture made of teak wood from Indonesia together, but they soon discovered that the products were of poor quality and only made in a colonial style.
Determined, they decided that they could create better designs and improve the quality of furniture. Within days, the company was up and running and named Royal Botania, a nod to the natural beauty of the lush botanical gardens and the supreme royal classic furniture they would create to match.
The original idea of Royal Botania was to combine extreme quality with the freshness of teak designs. The company quickly established itself on the international scene as a synonym for high quality and luxury design. The company and the brand have acquired a worldwide reputation.
Well-deserved success
18 years later, Royal Botania employs over 800 people worldwide, over 50 of whom are based in Antwerp, Belgium, where their 100,000m³ warehouse is located, holding all of the products before they are carefully shipped to their many happy customers all over the world.
Over time, Royal Botania has gained a reputation for creating the finest and most varied outdoor collections in the world. The individual ranges use a wide selection of different materials and have been designed and manufactured to offer a perfect blend of precision and functionality. The company's aim is to meet the individual needs of its customers.
