Their company is the world leader in the Lloyd Loom furniture market, a technique that involves wrapping kraft paper around a metal wire and weaving it into unique furniture.
Currently, Vincent Sheppard furniture is exported to more than 50 countries. The head office is in Belgium, while the main production plant is located in Indonesia, a country renowned for its rich weaving tradition.
A genuine work of craftsmanship
The company was founded with the aim of honouring and preserving the tradition and history of the weaving technique called “Lloyd Loom”. To this end, they established a close collaboration with the local people of Cirebon, Indonesia. Renowned for its tradition of rattan weaving and bending, Cirebon was the ideal location to host the main production facility.
The experience and know-how of local artisans make their products works of art, all handcrafted with a concern for perfection. Over the years, they have expanded their product range with other natural and sustainable materials.
